Management of Displaced Maxillary Canines by Extraction of the Primary Canine: Factors Affecting Treatment Outcome

چکیده
The purpose of this study was to evaluate the effect interceptive primary canine extraction in palatally and buccally displaced maxillary permanent canines, analyze clinical radiographic factors affecting treatment outcome. 97 canines from 86 patients whose were mesio-occlusal directions overlapped with roots adjacent teeth analyzed. In 64 (66.0%) crown completely deviated lateral incisor root only by canine. Not characteristics such as bucco-palatal displacement direction, horizontal vertical position tip, presence apical closure, but also periapical rarefaction on peg-shaped significantly affected

متن کاملManagement of the impacted or displaced maxillary canine.
The maxillary canine is commonly displaced or impacted. Monitoring the normal development of the dentition is important to identify and treat potential problems and hence minimise the need for later, more complex therapy. This paper discusses some problems that may occur and the subsequent treatment of these problems, by illustration with five case reports.

The purpose of this retrospective study was to assess the relationship between the initial position of palatally displaced canines (PDCs) on panoramic radiographs and the duration of the orthodontic treatment and further to estimate the costs of the treatment. Data from panoramic radiographs and patient records of 66 consecutive patients (mean age 14.9 ± 1.7 years) with PDC were analysed. The i...
متن کاملPalatally Impacted Canines – Factors Affecting Treatment Duration
A relationship between the duration of orthodontic treatment and the exact position of palatally impacted canines before treatment was studied in panoramic radiographs (OPG). Material and Method: Sixty-seven palatally impacted canines were measured in 54 OPGs prior to treatment. The measured parameters were: vertical distance of the canine crown tip to the occlusal plane, inclination of palatal...
